CALLing the Galapagos is a project to develop the computing skills of children and teenagers living on the inhabited islands of the Galapagos, namely San Cristobal, Santa Cruz, Floreana and Isabela.
The project is being developed by the New Era Galapagos Foundation on San Cristobal Island, under the supervision of Dot MacKenzie.
More information about the NEGF may be found in http://neweragalapagos.blogspot.com. Information about San Cristobal Island may be found in http://sancristobalisland.blogspot.com.
The NEGF has recently received two laptops from the One Laptop per Child Organisation, http://wiki.laptop.org/. They will be used to help teach English and environmental and computing skills.
More information about the work of the NEGF may be obtained from
williampuga1@gmail.com. Volunteers may work on the island all year round.
